Point Independence Yacht Club is located in Onset Bay, directly off Buzzards Bay, close to the west opening of the Cape Cod Canal. This well-protected bay is surrounded by the quaint, Victorian Village of Onset. It is a convenient stop for high-quality, well-priced fuel. Point Independence Yacht Club offers transient dockage and mooring hookups for the many boaters traveling through Buzzards Bay. We are a convenient stop when you travel between the Cape Cod Canal through the Cape and Islands, including Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket.
The calm, warm waters of Onset Bay are great for kayaking and paddle boarding. You can spend the day at the sandy beach right next to the yacht club and then view a beautiful sunset from the club house. Take the short walk to Onset Village to shop or dine at a variety of restaurants.
We offer transient slips where you can stay for one night, or weeks at a time. We offer group stays for both independent boaters and boaters from other yacht clubs. Our clubhouse includes restrooms and shower facilities. Join our community at the club house for our Friday Night Fish Fries. This event is open for members, invited guest, and transients. The food is prepared by a local restaurant. Enjoy a drink at our bar, On the Rocks.
